Blackening Spice Blend
A recipe from Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition
A blend of spices that works well in sauces, on meats or as a seasoning.
Ingredients:
- 3 cup Spice, paprika, ground
- 1 1/2 cup Spice, garlic, powder
- 1 1/2 cup Spice, onion, powder
- 1 cup Spice, cayenne pepper
- 1 cup Spice, chipotle, powder
- 1/2 cup Spice, pepper, black, ground
- 1/4 cup Spice, basil, dried
- 1/4 cup Spice, oregano, dried
- 1/4 cup Spice, thyme, dried
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Store, labeled and dated, in an airtight container. Before using, stir or shake (spices may settle during storage).
