Spiced Peach Granola Parfait
A recipe from Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition
Vanilla yogurt spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, peaches, and house made granola. This recipe is simple and delicious!
Ingredients:
- 6 1/4 cup House Made Granola
- 1 1/2 #10 can Peaches, canned, diced
- 1 1/2 gal + 1 cup Yogurt, low-fat, vanilla
- 2 tbsp Spice, cinnamon, ground
- 1 tbsp Spice, cardamom, ground
- 1 tbsp Spice, nutmeg, ground
Steps:
DAY PRIOR TO SERVICE:
- Drain diced peaches of excess liquid.
- In a clear cup portion 1/2 cup spiced yogurt, and 1/4 cup diced peaches.
- Store, labeled, dated, and wrapped in the cooler.
No bare hand contact with ready to eat food.
While peaches are draining, prepare the yogurt. Using a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla yogurt, cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg.
Hold at 41°F or below.
DAY OF SERVICE:
- Top each parfait with 1/4 cup house made granola.
- Cold hold parfaits for service.
- Serving is 1 parfait.
No bare hand contact with ready to eat food.
