Chilled Watermelon Sticks

Fresh Georgia Grown watermelon is sweet and juicy. This chilled, refreshing fruit side is easy to grab, fun to eat, and loved by students.

Chilled Watermelon Sticks

Ingredients:

  • 33 lbs Watermelon, fresh

Steps:

    No bare hand contact with ready to eat food.

  1. Remove sticker, if needed. Rinse melons in cool, running water.
  2. Carefully cut each watermelon in half, lengthwise.
  3. Slice each half into 3/4-inch-thick slabs, then cut those into uniform sticks approximately 3/4-inch wide by 4-inches long.
  4. Portion 1/2 cup (about 4-5 sticks or 3 1/2 ounces) into individual serving containers for easy service.
  5. Hold at 41°F or below.

  6. Serving is 1/2 cup (about 4-5 sticks or 3 1/2 ounces).
