Sliced apples are more convenient for students to consume, and our recipe simplifies the preparation. When in season, offer an assortment of Georgia-grown apples.
Ingredients:
- 13 lbs Apples, whole, raw
- 5 gal Saltwater Bath
Steps:
- Rinse apples under, cool, running water.
- Use fruit sectionizer to core and slice apples.
- Place sliced apples in the Salt Water bath for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Portion 1/2 cup apple slices into individual serving containers.
This will prevent them from browning for up to 3 days and does not alter the taste.
